Saturday 1st May to Monday 3rd May 2010
Speaker: Mike Hardy (South Lakes) Theme: The Transforming Friendship
‘I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man dwells in me and I dwell in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.’ (John 15)
This year’s Fellowship Weekend took the theme of witnessing for Jesus and outreach.
The focus of our thoughts was:
- Jesus’ transforming friendship, and desire to live with us,
- Our friendships, which can transform the lives of others

Part 3 (Sunday)
After lunch, we took part in a range of community outreach activities at The Bethel and in the local park. It was an opportunity to try out and take home ideas to reach your local community, whilst having some fun too.
These activities were all based around the theme of ‘Friendship’ and included:
- Running a coffee shop
- Puppet show
- Face painting
- Street art
- Run Playtime (our parent and toddler group)
- Car washing
- Gardening advice and potting up plants
- Prayer tent
- Busking

It is our prayer that we will all find encouragement from the message of the weekend, and be given fresh ideas and energy to live our lives, both as individuals and as Church communities, in witness for Jesus.
